MBABANE – Kobe Academy has been ranked the number one private school in Eswatini for 2025 by Schoolbell.net, a global education rankings platform founded in Singapore in 2021.
Schoolbell.net was created by Dylan, an undergraduate at a leading Asian university, and first launched as Schoolbell.sg before expanding worldwide. The platform describes its mission as making education choices “clear, fast, and simple” for families and learners.
The rankings combine public datasets with two proprietary measures: the Contextual Academic Score, which measures performance relative to a school’s local and institutional context, and the Contextual Reputation Score, which reflects credibility based on online presence and sentiment. The organisation says its independence, with no links to educational institutions, ensures transparency in the ranking process.
For 2025, Kobe Academy earned the highest Contextual Reputation Score of 100.0, placing it at the top of the list of private schools in the Kingdom. Golden Eagles International School followed in second place with a score of 99.7, while Premier Independent School came third at 98.9.
Jabulile Primary School secured fourth position with a score of 97.5, and Good News Primary School rounded off the top five with 95.7. Enjabulweni Independent School was ranked sixth at 93.3.
Waterford Kamhlaba United World College of Southern Africa, one of Eswatini’s most internationally recognised schools, placed seventh with 90.4. UFS International followed in eighth position with 87.0, Milestone International Academy ninth with 83.0, and Khanyisa Christian Academy completed the top 10 with 75.0.
Private schools in Eswatini, which serve both primary and secondary levels, are widely regarded as providing high-quality education. According to Schoolbell.net, a higher Contextual Reputation Score suggests stronger online credibility and greater recognition among parents and learners.
