Mbabane – The European Union in Eswatini has issued a warning after reports of online messages and advertisements claiming to offer large grants through an account called “European Union Development Fund.”
The EU advised the public to verify grant offers only through official channels and avoid clicking on suspicious links or making any payments, noting that it never requests fees for applications.
Official EU announcements on tenders and calls for proposals are published on the EU Funding and Tenders Portal, EU Delegation websites, and verified social media pages. Individuals can also confirm EU-supported programmes by visiting the EU offices at Lilunga House, 4th floor, Mbabane, or the official website: https://www.eeas.europa.eu/delegations/eswatini_en?s=123.
