Mbabane: What was meant to be a good start in the week almost turned nasty when a kombi descending towards the golf course from Fonteyn lost brakes and veered off the road. The freak accident happened at around 9 in the morning.
The kombi, loaded with 8 passengers, ended on the side of the road without any casualties.
According to onlookers, on coming to a halt, the visibly traumatized passengers disembarked from the kombi and waited for the police, who promptly responded. The paramedics also came along and began to examine the passengers.
This is not the first time a kombi from Fonteyn has lost brakes while moving down the hill as in April this year another one, loaded with passengers, veered off the road and landed on the side next to the traffic circle.
