MBABANE – Students at Eswatini Medical Christian University (EMCU) have returned to their lectures after weeks of disruptions linked to staff grievances and allegations of mismanagement of funds.
The university released a statement yesterday confirming that operations were now running normally. It follows a legal ruling that declared the recent staff strike unlawful.
The EMCU Council said it was working closely with the Ministry of Education to address the concerns that had led to the unrest. It further distanced itself from public statements that did not originate from the Registrar’s office, warning that such information did not carry the authority of the Council or management.
As a Category A Public Enterprise, the institution stated that it is committed to addressing internal matters in line with its values while pursuing its mission of producing well-trained Christian professionals.
