Nedbank has introduced a new mobile virtual network operator, Nedbank Connect, offering competitive data and call packages exclusively to its customers in South Africa. The service went live earlier this week and can be accessed through the Nedbank Money app or online banking.

Customers with eSIM-capable devices can activate Nedbank Connect free of charge, while physical SIM cards cost R99 and include R100 airtime. Linking the account to Nedbank’s Greenbacks rewards programme allows users to earn up to R300 free airtime monthly.

The network provides four month-to-month plans, all with unlimited calls and SMS. The entry-level package includes 3GB of anytime data for R169 per month, with larger options of 5GB, 10GB, and 20GB priced at R199, R299, and R499 respectively. Unlimited calling is subject to a fair usage policy, restricting commercial use, bulk messaging, and other automated calling activities. Calls are limited to 60 minutes per session, after which redialing is required. Users must also maintain at least 100MB of data monthly, make calls to no more than 50 unique numbers, and send SMS to no more than 30 unique numbers daily.

Prepaid options are also available, offering flexible data, voice, and social bundles. Data packages range from 100MB for R5 to 100GB for R475 over 30 days, while voice bundles start at 50 minutes for R10 and go up to 1,000 minutes for R250. Social media bundles provide 1GB of data for R30, valid for 30 days on platforms including WhatsApp, Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok. Roaming bundles range from R100 to R5,000, catering to travellers.
