Mbabane – The Eswatini Investment Promotion Authority (EIPA) will host a seminar aimed at preparing local enterprises for entry into international markets.
The event follows the launch of the Export Guide 2025, a manual that outlines a ten-step process to help businesses develop export plans, carry out market research, secure documentation, manage shipping and logistics, source products, access trade finance, clear customs, and manage risks.
According to an EIPA manager, the guide is designed to simplify the complex process of exporting, which has the potential to drive business growth in the country.
The seminar will also cover Eswatini’s preferential trade opportunities through agreements such as the Southern African Customs Union (SACU), the Southern African Development Community (SADC), the Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa (COMESA), and the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA). The Economic Partnership Agreement between the European Union (EU) and Southern African states, which grants duty-free or preferential access to European markets, will also be discussed.
EIPA has called on both new and experienced exporters to take advantage of the seminar. Businesses interested in attending can contact EIPA at trade@eipa.org.sz for details.
