“…the clothes are available at Africa Rise, my store that I created in Sandton City. It stocks different designers from across the African continent. I opened it in 2019. So I had no idea that a member of the royal household had bought the dress,” Thula Sindi said.

The designer said people from different walks of life purchase from the shop. Thula Sindi said the beauty of having a store is that anybody can come in and buy anything.

“So this was just a beautiful surprise. I absolutely had no idea that Inkhosikati had bought it from us. And I think it’s very exciting. And it’s also a testament to the support of, you know, of SADC talent. So it was just a beautiful surprise. It was a very beautiful surprise. But yes, I had no idea. But I’m pleasantly surprised,” Thula Sindi said.

The classic dress has not only been displayed in the shop but is also available online at Thula Sindi website, https://thulasindi.com.
