MANKAYANE – Forty elderly and disabled residents at the Mankayane Home are set to receive warm, high-quality blankets following a donation from Her Royal Highness Princess Temtsimba through the Kwakitsi Foundation.
The donation was officially handed over to Deputy Prime Minister Thulisile Dladla, whose office oversees social welfare and disability services across the country. The brief ceremony took place earlier this week, with both parties committing to continued efforts to support Eswatini’s vulnerable communities.
Princess Temtsimba said the gesture was part of the Foundation’s ongoing mission to uplift those often overlooked in society. She thanked the Deputy Prime Minister’s Office for partnering with Kwakitsi Foundation and for its role in ensuring that assistance reaches those who need it most.

“They deserve to know they are seen, valued, and cared for,” she said. “This partnership reflects what’s possible when government, foundations, and communities work together.”
Accepting the donation, DPM Dladla spoke about the daily realities her office encounters while serving elderly and disabled citizens. She described emotionally difficult scenes of older people living in isolation, and said the support from the Foundation would bring much-needed comfort.
She also invited the Foundation to join the office during the blanket distribution visit at Mankayane Home.
