Oskido to ignite Swazi Rally with live band

Mbabane-  South African music legend Oskido is set to light up the iconic Swazi Rally this August,bringing his decades of hits – making magic to the Kingdom of Eswatini with live band performance. 

This event is scheduled to take place on August 29-30 at Riders Ranch in Sidvokodvo, Swazi Rally is Eswatini’s biggest motorbike and music festival, attracting thousands of bikers and fans from across the SADC region. It’s also known for its fusion of engine roars, live music and festive spirit.  The announcement was made by Banele Dlamini, spokesperson for the Swazi Rally, commenting “Oskido performance is what will be the highlight of the event and  is set to bring  nothing but the best of entertainment, Oskido is a continental icon, having him perform with live band at the rally takes the event to new heights”.

With over 30 years in the music industry, Oscar Sibongikosi Mdlongwa, popularly known as Oskido, is one of South Africa’s most influential musicians, a pioneer of Kwaito and Afro – house. In recent years he has launched Khwale Jazmee Records , a significant label in the South African music industry. Beyond music production and DJing, Oskido is also a businessman and has been involved in various ventures, including radio.

“Oskido’s live band set is expected to blend classic kwaito anthems like Tsa Ma Ndebele and Sama Grootman with newer house and amapiano sounds” stated Dlamini.  He further highlighted that fans should expect live instrumentation, backing vocals and the energy only Oskido can deliver- turning the rally into a high celebration of Southern African rhythm and unity.
