Mbabane:  The total number of COVID-19 confirmed cases in Eswatini now stands at 205 and total number of recoveries stands at 78.

Nkosi revealed the update at the cabinet offices on Monday when giving the status of COVID-19 in Eswatini. Nkosi said the ministry received a total of 104 results, of which 102 tested negative and two tested positive. The new cases are both from the Manzini region: a 79 year-old male who is asymptomatic and a 38 year-old female who is also asymptomatic.

Meanwhile the number of recoveries in Eswatini now stands at 78, while 63 are admitted at the hospital, 64 are under home care, and two deaths.

The Minster said the cumulative graph on the number of recoveries is encouraging as the numbers have been growing in the past few days. “This is encouraging, however, to have a negative result does not mean one cannot be re-infected. It means that in the current episode the body has managed to get rid of the virus off the body system as the immune system gained control.
