EWADE on track with 2027 strategy

MBABANE –The Eswatini Water and Agricultural Development Enterprise (EWADE) held its mid-term CEO’s Vusela to take stock of progress made under its 2022–2027 strategic plan.

The session brought together staff and executives to assess performance across five key objectives. According to CEO Samson Sithole, the parastatal has reached 77% of its strategy targets so far, showing an increase from 73% recorded the previous year.

EWADE has completed all planned actions under Governance and Ethics, with a 100% score. Stakeholder Engagement followed at 92%, Financial Sustainability at 85%, and Human Capital Development at 81%. Growth and Sustainability remains the lowest-performing pillar, currently at 52%.

Out of 52 strategic activities outlined in the plan, 31 have been fully achieved. The remaining projects are said to be progressing.

The gathering, held to recognise team effort and reignite commitment, ended with a toast led by Sithole and Director of Corporate Services John Nsibande. Staff joined in the moment, celebrating shared milestones while looking ahead to the remaining years of the strategy.

The event also reaffirmed the organisation’s continued alignment with its core values of fairness, empowerment, excellence, transparency, and accountability.
