MBABANE – Local fashion and modelling powerhouse Mbalenhle “Mbali” Manana has been selected as one of the judges for the upcoming Mr and Miss Lesotho Unite pageant, set to take place on September 28 at Avani Maseru.
Manana, founder of Top Models Eswatini, confirmed the appointment during an interview, saying she was honoured to be chosen. “It’s always rewarding to contribute to something new. This isn’t my first time judging in Lesotho—I was the chief judge for Mr and Miss Lesotho Tourism in 2022,” she said.
The Mbabane-based model mentor has steadily built ties with the Lesotho fashion scene, working closely with the Maru A Pula Modelling Agency since 2022. The agency has participated in Eswatini’s Biggest Braai events, while Manana has travelled to Maseru for the Maru A Pula Fashion Show.
Asked why she believes she was selected, Manana pointed to her consistent work across borders and her leadership in the industry. “As the founder of Top Models Eswatini, I’ve built a strong reputation regionally. I’ve represented Eswatini at events such as Botswana Fashion Week and others across the continent.”
Manana also holds accolades such as the Fashion Influencer award from the African Heritage Fashion Week in Cameroon, cementing her role as a continental figure in fashion.
