Mbabane – Over 400 dignity kits have been distributed to learners at Vulamasango School by the UNFPA Eswatini office, in a gesture aimed at supporting hygiene, self-esteem, and classroom confidence among schoolchildren. The kits, which cater to both girls and boys, are valued at over E58,000.
The donation, which took place on school grounds, contained practical items such as sanitary pads, towels, soap, deodorant, lotion, toothbrushes, and toothpaste. Each kit also included an educational leaflet on menstrual health.
UNFPA Head of Office, Margaret Thwala-Tembe, said the kits are part of efforts to promote awareness around menstruation and reduce stigma in schools. She explained that educating both girls and boys about menstruation is vital to building supportive and informed communities.
The Commissioner General, Phindile Dlamini, welcomed the donation, describing it as an investment in the dignity, health, and academic success of learners.
