SIDVOKODVO – The highly anticipated Diva’s Concert is moving to the countryside for its fifth anniversary, with organisers confirming the 2025 edition will be hosted at Olive Country Lodge in Sidvokodvo on Sunday, 31 August.
Festival director Thembinkosi Mthethwa said the shift from the traditional December slot and city venues marks a fresh chapter for Eswatini’s only major festival dedicated to celebrating women in entertainment. This year’s festivities will stretch into the early hours of the next day, moving away from the usual late-night wrap-up.
Two South African powerhouses will headline the concert for the first time. Jazz singer Siphokazi Maraqana, famous for her hit Amacala and multiple Metro FM Awards, will lead the vocal segment. Joining her will be DJ Zinhle, one of South Africa’s top female DJs and producers, taking centre stage for the all-female DJ line-up.
Organisers have also announced the introduction of more music genres to cater for diverse tastes. The programme will feature jazz, gospel, hip-hop, afro-soul, country music, and electronic house music. Local artists on the lineup include gospel star Nothando Hlophe, soul vocalist Floewe Dladla, afro-soul sensation Velemseni Ndzimandze, country singer Cleopatra Methula, hip-hop artist Originelle, and afro-fusion vocalist Sarnilo.
The DJ lineup features some of Eswatini’s and South Africa’s finest female spinners, including Trend Twins, DJ Lady Cream, Ndumz_DJ, Ash, ItsAllBlaq+, Lady Zee, Wassabee, and DJ Expo, with DJ Zinhle as the headline act.
Since its launch in 2019 at The George Hotel in Manzini, the Diva’s Concert has grown into a premier event, having previously hosted South African artists like Berita, Kelly Khumalo, Amanda Black, and Zoe Modiga. Last year’s edition took place at Happy Valley Gardens in Ezulwini.
Tickets are already on sale, with general access priced at E250 and VIP passes going for E550 through Howler, Computicket, MoMo, and Moja Ticket.
Due to the new venue setup, only accessory stalls and corporate exhibitors will be allowed to trade during the event.
