SITEKI – South African Afro-pop star Simmy has been added to the performance lineup for the Espinho All White Party, set to take place in Siteki on 26 July.
Simmy, whose real name is Simphiwe Majobe Nhlangulela, replaces Nkosazana Daughter, who was originally billed to perform but pulled out due to a scheduling conflict. Simmy is known for her distinctive sound that blends Afro-house and electronic music, with popular tracks like Ubala and Ngihamba Nawe earning her a loyal following across Southern Africa.
Her appearance comes as part of the Espinho restaurant’s first anniversary celebrations. This will also be the second edition of what organisers are shaping into an annual social calendar event in the Lubombo region.
Espinho’s Marketing Officer, Themba Thwala, confirmed Simmy’s booking and said guests can expect a high-energy, soulful performance that complements the vibrant atmosphere the party is known for.
Simmy rose to fame following the success of her debut album Tugela Fairy, which went platinum. Her single Ubala, featuring Sun-El Musician, has also reached gold status.
Sharing the stage with Simmy will be a mix of local and regional performers, including Mthandeni, Kay Sibiya, Lady Zee, Bandora and Njebza.
