MANZINI – The 10th Manzini Regional Day is set to continue on July 25 in the spirit of promoting indigenous entrepreneurs.
The Manzini Regional Administrator (RA) Chief Gija said the main day themed ‘Manzini Together, Towards Tomorrow’ will be preceded by a build-up walk on July 20. The walk will allow participants to set-off in Matsapha, Mahhala, and trek their way up to Malkerns.
“We must learn to support local industry as Emaswati. This will enable us to trade within the country, support each other. We normally buy from outside the country and online,” the RA said.
According to the event coordinators, the purpose of the walk goes beyond fitness. It offers other benefits including increased visibility, exhibitors showcasing their products and services to a diverse audience, including businesses, community members and government representatives.

It also promises networking opportunities among the business people, ideal for both sole entrepreneurs and groups with a more economical and team-oriented approach for the walk.
Moreover, it’s a created platform for Swazis to show-case their handcrafts as a way of promoting local trade.
Participation requirements included a registration fee of E200 per person, while groups of 10 people can register for E4500.
Chief Gija hopes it will also boost tourism.
Speaking on behalf of Manzini region chiefs, Luke Mavimbela said that small and medium entrepreneurs should tap into this event in order to grow their businesses.
He was also appreciative of the website to garner for interest from across the globe.
