MBABANE – The Ministry of Labour and Social Security has received two vehicles to support its operations, courtesy of the Taiwan Embassy and Lidwala Insurance.
The handover took place earlier today, with the Republic of China (Taiwan) presenting a specially customised vehicle to the Vocational, Training and Rehabilitation Services Unit (VTRS). The unit supports persons with disabilities through skills training, and the donated vehicle is designed to accommodate the mobility needs of trainees enrolled in its programmes.
Lidwala Insurance also contributed by donating a vehicle to the Workman’s Compensation Unit under the Social Security Department. The vehicle is expected to improve the department’s field operations, particularly in monitoring compliance with labour protection standards across the country.
Officials from the Ministry described the donations as timely support that will strengthen efforts to deliver inclusive services and improve mobility for both staff and beneficiaries in key units.
