The Ezulwini Community ICT Development Lab officially opened today, marking a significant step in promoting digital literacy within the region. The launch event was attended by the Honourable Minister of Information, Communication and Technology, Savannah Maziya, and Ezulwini Constituency Chief, Mashampu Khumalo.

This initiative is the result of a collaboration between the government and key partners, including Wanderport, MTN Eswatini, and the Eswatini Communications Commission (ESCCOM). The lab, now active, is hosting a Digital Skills training program aimed at empowering the youth of Ezulwini.

Mvilawemphi Dlamini, the Chief Executive of ESCCOM, shared that the lab is part of the commission’s ongoing efforts to expand ICT access, especially in underserved areas. Through the Universal Access and Service Fund (UASF), ESCCOM continues to work towards bridging the digital divide and creating opportunities for all, particularly in rural communities.

Minister Maziya encouraged the youth and women of Ezulwini to take full advantage of the training opportunities provided by the new lab, stressing that such initiatives are crucial for the Kingdom’s digital transformation. She commended the successful collaboration among the various partners that made the lab possible.
