His Majesty King Mswati III officially opened a new shopping complex in Hlathikhulu, Shiselweni Region, this afternoon, drawing crowds of excited residents who gathered to witness the event.
The new development features several stores, including Africa’s largest retail brand, Shoprite, bringing greater shopping convenience and economic activity to the southern region of the kingdom.
During the ceremony, Shoprite presented His Majesty with a surprise birthday cake, adding a personal touch to the celebrations. The company also donated E20,000 to the Esicojeni Foundation, supporting efforts to uplift vulnerable communities across Eswatini.
