Mbabane — The wait is finally over as Sbu the Drum DJ has announced the glamorous lineup for his highly anticipated one-man show, set to take place on the 31st of May, 2025, at Xchange Lounge and Shisanyama.
During an interview, Sibusiso, famously known as Sbu De Drum, stated: “Join the Sbu De Drum DJ One-Man Show at The Xchange Lounge and Shisanyama on May 31, featuring DJ Maphorisa, Uncool Mc, and Masterpiece YVK. Let’s fill up the venue and make history together.” This upcoming show marks a significant milestone for Sbu, as it will be his second one-man show. It highlights his resilience as an artist and his ability to thrive under various circumstances.
His journey as a DJ has been nothing short of remarkable. Last year, he was among the headliners at the Ocean Summer Vibes event, which featured three prominent South African artists: Kabza De Small, DJ Maphorisa, and Young Stunna.
DJ Maphorisa, whose real name is Themba Sekowe, is a celebrated record producer known for his unique fusion of house music, Amapiano, and Afro-pop. He has collaborated with top artists, including Wizkid, and is recognized for his pivotal role in popularizing Amapiano music. As a member of the group Uhuru, he gained fame with hits like “Wayitjukutja” and “Khona.” He has also won multiple awards throughout his musical journey, solidifying his status as one of the best in the industry.
Joining him on stage will be Uncool Mc, known for his captivating performances in alternative hip-hop, and Masterpiece YVK, born Thabang Kgotso, an Amapiano singer and songwriter.
