NHLANGANO — A united front of government agencies, civil society, and community members took to the streets of Nhlangano on Thursday in a spirited march aimed at raising awareness on child abuse and gender-based violence.

Led by the Nhlangano Town Council in partnership with World Vision Eswatini, SOS Children’s Villages, the Royal Eswatini Police Service, Social Welfare, and Naticc, the event began at Nhlangano Park and made its way to the Central Sports Ground, drawing a crowd determined to speak out against abuse and injustice.

Held under the theme “Everyone is God made, no child is born to be abused,” the march brought together local stakeholders committed to protecting the rights and dignity of the most vulnerable members of society.

The Deputy Prime Minister’s Office, represented by Under Secretary Makhosi Simelane, expressed support for the collective action and the ongoing efforts to curb the alarming rise in violence against children and GBV across the country.
