With the countdown to the seventh edition of the Ingwenyama Cup in full swing, preparations are underway to deliver a world-class football spectacle. One of the key developments is ongoing discussions with Supersport to broadcast the highly anticipated final to a global audience.
Ingwenyama Cup PRO Nkosilenhle ‘Makawosi’ Masuku confirmed that negotiations were in progress to secure live coverage of the final, scheduled for next weekend. He stated that stakeholders involved in the discussions were working diligently to finalize the arrangement.
“There is always a possibility, but the relevant authorities are still handling the talks. Over the years, Supersport has played a significant role in showcasing the tournament, and we hope this tradition continues,” Masuku said.
He expressed optimism that this year’s edition would once again be broadcast live, allowing fans across Africa and beyond to experience Eswatini’s vibrant football culture.
“We remain hopeful that the cameras will capture the excitement of our tournament. Supersport remains a crucial partner as we approach the grand finale of the biggest and most lucrative competition in the country,” he added.
The final will take place at Somhlolo National Stadium, and organizers are encouraging local television stations to collaborate with international broadcasters to expand viewership.
“We urge our local broadcasters to take advantage of this opportunity and engage with regional media giants to enhance their capabilities,” Masuku said.
