The Eswatini Investment Promotion Authority (EIPA) has pushed back the deadline for trader applications to the Taipei International Food Show (Food Taipei) to Monday, 24 March 2025, extending it by four days from the original deadline of 20 March 2025.
Thandeka Dlamini, Manager of External Trade Promotion at EIPA, stated that the decision to extend the deadline was made to accommodate the growing interest from Eswatini’s food and beverage businesses. “We understand the importance of this opportunity for traders and wanted to ensure more businesses have the chance to apply,” she said. The event offers participants the chance to present their products to a global audience, compare them against international brands, and explore new export markets.
Food Taipei is scheduled to take place in Taiwan’s capital from 25 to 28 June 2025. The event will connect traders with potential buyers, distributors, and trade partners, offering an invaluable platform for marketing products to the lucrative Asian market.
Thanks to the partnership with Taiwan’s external trade promotion body, TAITRA, EIPA is facilitating the participation of Eswatini businesses in the event. “This opportunity would not be available to emaSwati without TAITRA’s support. The Eswatini and Taiwan Economic Cooperation Agreement (ECA) provides preferential trading conditions, especially for those in the agro-processing sector,” Dlamini added.
Traders interested in participating can apply through the online form at https://forms.gle/dfcwvfTzv5oJ6P9UA before the new deadline of 24 March 2025.
Food Taipei is one of Taiwan’s largest food and beverage trade shows, featuring 16 major categories, including dairy, confectionery, seafood, frozen foods, snacks, health supplements, and more.
