Nigerian Everton Legend Arrives in Eswatini

A prominent Nigerian football legend,Yakubu Aiyegbeni known for his illustrious career with Everton, touched down at King Mswati III International Airport this afternoon. His visit marks a significant step in promoting football development in Eswatini, as he aims to establish an Everton academy in the kingdom.

The initiative comes as part of a broader effort to enhance youth engagement in sports and provide aspiring footballers in Eswatini with access to quality training and mentorship. The academy will focus on developing local talent and fostering a passion for the game among young players.

Upon his arrival, the legend expressed his excitement about the project, stating that it is vital to invest in the next generation of athletes. He emphasized the importance of football in building character and teamwork skills, which are essential both on and off the pitch.

In addition to the academy launch, the former Everton star is scheduled to pay a courtesy visit to His Majesty King Mswati III. This meeting highlights the collaborative effort between the football legend and the Eswatini government to promote sports as a means of community development and youth empowerment.
