Prime Minister of Eswatini Ambrose Mandvulo Dlamini

Mbabane: Eswatini Prime Minister Ambrose Dlamini, who tested positive for COVID-19 about four weeks ago, has died at age 52 after being hospitalized in neighboring South Africa.

This was confirmed by the Deputy Prime Minister Themba Nhlanganiso Masuku in a government press statement late on Sunday night.

“Their Majesties have commanded that I inform the Nation of the sad and untimely passing away of His Excellency the Prime Minister Ambrose Mandvulo Dlamini. His Excellency passed on this afternoon while under medical care in a hospital in South Africa”,

The Prime Minister was airlifted to the neighboring South Africa on December 1, 2020 about two weeks ago after testing positive to COVID-19, at that time Masuku said the Prime Minister was stable and responding well to treatment.
