Ezulwini – The 2026 Entrepreneur of the Year Awards (EYA) national winner will drive away in a Toyota Hilux Single Cab 2.4 GD-6 valued at E586,591, inclusive of one year’s insurance.
The grand prize was unveiled by FNB Eswatini Chief Executive Officer Thokozani ‘TK’ Dlamini at the bank’s head office in Ezulwini, with one of the four regional winners set to claim the vehicle when the national winner is announced on October 21.
Speaking during the Grand Prize Reveal Ceremony, Dlamini said the vehicle was intended to support the growth of the winning entrepreneur’s business by providing mobility, which he described as necessary for businesses of all sizes.
He said mobility could help small and medium enterprises (SMEs) respond to the changing needs of customers and markets while expanding their operations sustainably.
“As FNB Eswatini and the FNB Eswatini Foundation, we are proud to be behind the grand prize that will fuel the dreams of one of our entrepreneurs,” said Dlamini.
He said the bank’s continued investment in EYA reflected its belief that supporting local SMEs could contribute to economic growth, job creation and improved access to affordable goods and services.
Dlamini said the bank believed that support for businesses should be practical and address their specific needs. He added that FNB would continue investing in local SMEs through lending, advisory support and products tailored to their requirements.
He also pointed to the SME Growth Forums hosted by FNB between July and August, saying the engagements had provided insights into the kind of support entrepreneurs needed.
Dlamini said the feedback gathered during the forums would influence solutions the bank planned to introduce in the coming weeks and months.
The four regional winners were congratulated for reaching the final stage of the competition, with Dlamini saying FNB and the FNB Eswatini Foundation were ready to partner with them as they continued growing their businesses.
