Malkerns – FNB Eswatini has handed over an E437,500 sponsorship toward the 2026 MTN Bushfire Festival, representing a significant financial increase from the E300,000 injected by the financial institution last year.
The funding was officially presented at House on Fire on Thursday, May 21, 2026, ahead of the annual multicultural event that attracts thousands of international and local attendees. As the festival’s official banking partner, the bank will deploy onsite ATMs, Speedpoint point-of-sale devices, and dedicated technical support teams to handle all merchant and consumer transactions.
Speaking during the handover ceremony, FNB Eswatini Executive Head of Commercial Banking Chantell Littler stated that the investment supports industries that generate sustainable economic opportunities. She noted that the bank views the arts sector as a viable platform for the financial upliftment of citizens and national development.
MTN Bushfire Marketing Manager Bongani Dlamini stated that the financial institution has partnered with the event since its inception. He explained that the collaboration extends beyond funding, with the bank providing critical financial services that allow international travelers to access card assistance and currency services seamlessly during the long weekend.
Dlamini also revealed that the bank’s promotional footprint this year will feature a specialized activation themed around the FIFA World Cup 2026 to engage attendees. The integration of electronic payment infrastructure is intended to manage the high volume of cross-border transactions typical of the three-day showcase.
