ADDIS ABABA – Eswatini’s digital stars are flying the national flag high as they join Africa’s leading online voices at the inaugural African Social Media Influencers Summit (ASMIS) taking place in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, on May 7 and 8.
Among those representing the Kingdom are popular content creators Slwane and Gogo Eswatini, who have landed safely in the Ethiopian capital ahead of the much-anticipated gathering.
The summit, hosted in Addis Ababa, brings together top content creators, thought leaders and digital innovators from across the continent. From storytellers shaping public opinion to trendsetters redefining online engagement, the event celebrates the rise of Africa’s online generation and its growing global influence.
Taking to their Facebook page, the delegation shared an inspiring message: “One Day it will all make sense.” They added, “Landed safely …and looking forward to a mighty enlightening time in Addis, learning, collaborating and exploring.”
The two-day summit is expected to spark conversations around innovation, digital storytelling and how African creators can use their platforms to showcase the continent’s authentic beauty and untold stories. It also aims to strengthen collaboration among influencers while positioning Africa as a powerful force in the global digital space.
For Eswatini, Slwane and Gogo Eswatini’s participation signals the growing impact of local creatives beyond the country’s borders.
