The biblical account in genesis describes how God destroyed the cities with fire due to their sins, which include homosexuality.
The message from the King was welcomed with a huge clapping of hands from the audience. Same sex marriage was one of the key topic discussed and it was submitted by Bishop Simelane from Sitsatsaweni.
While acknowledging that many countries around the world have accepted same sex marriage, His Majesty expressed discomfort with the concept , calling it umhlolo . He shared that he found it difficult to understand how men can come together in this manner describing it as disturbing to even witness.
His Majesty even said some countries have conditioned foreign aid on the acceptance of same sex marriage.
However, he said some countries in Africa are not comfortable with such practices and would not comply with such directives.
