NSENGA – Government has been hailed for the quick intervention in addressing the road network challenges at Nkhomiyahlaba Constituency.
Rewind to about three weeks ago, the constituency’s Member of Parliament (MP) Mduduzi Dlamini was complaining about the challenges faced by residents in accessing the gravel roads especially during the rainy season. Fast forward to the present moment, the same legislator is now singing a different tune, in a good way though.
He is now praising government, through both Microprojects and the Ministry of Public Works and Transport for heeding to their pleas and providing quick solutions to same.

“Microprojects has been assisting us through their road blading exercise and as a result, most of our gravel roads have been refurbished. The same department has also been busy with concrete road projects in our constituency. The road situation has quickly turned from desperate to better in a short space of time, which we fully appreciate. Once again, we thank government for bringing such essential services closer to the people, this is in line with His Majesty’s Nkwe directive. We hope they keep up this spirit going forward because there is more development we want to see happening in our community,” the MP stressed.
He added that a big road project, which will also benefit Sigombeni Chiefdom, will be commencing very soon, bringing to an end years of road challenges faced by car users.
“This project is being carried out by the Ministry of Public Works and Transport and we are looking forward to its completion. We have been complaining about the challenges on our roads especially when it is raining. The unfortunate thing is that our area is blessed with plenty rain, which means the roads are always in danger of being damaged within a short space of time. This is where long-term solutions have to be applied and we are happy with the effort so far,” he said.
