Mbabane – Liswati musician and cultural ambassador Sancheziey Salukazana has crossed a major digital milestone after his visualizer for Siyabonga Gogo REMIX surpassed 100,000 views on YouTube.
The remix, featuring Lodanda, Young Zesh and the Limkokwing Choir, was released on 19 December 2025 and uploaded under the Sancheziey YouTube channel, which currently has over 4,000 subscribers. The project was shot by Megasound Studios 78 and has continued to gain traction among viewers in the Kingdom and beyond.
The song blends contemporary sounds with traditional Swati musical elements, positioning Umgidvo music within a modern setting while appealing to younger audiences. Sancheziey, who describes himself as a Swati culture ambassador, has built his brand around preserving and adapting local culture through music.
Reacting to the achievement, the artist shared a message on social media calling for a “moment of silence for LeSalukati,” before thanking supporters who took time to watch the video on YouTube. He said he did not expect the song to reach such numbers, describing the milestone as a surprising but welcome moment in his career.
Speaking to the Independent News, Sancheziey said the 100,000 views mark carries deep personal meaning, as it is the first time his work has reached such a figure. He described it as an approval that “lonyaka batawuvuma,” adding that the achievement has set a new standard for his brand, which now comes with added responsibility.
He said beyond personal success, the milestone signals wider recognition for Swati culture on the global stage. According to the artist, the growing viewership shows that Swati music and cultural expression can travel beyond national borders and find an audience internationally.
Sancheziey admitted that while he feels humbled by the response, the achievement also brings pressure to maintain and exceed the standard he has set. He said starting at such a level means expectations are now higher, noting that “lonyaka ngulonyaka” as he looks ahead to future projects.
