Eswatini COVID-19 recovery rate now stands at 70%

Mbabane: Eswatini’s Covid-19 recovery rate improved to 70 percent on Wednesday as 119 recoveries were reported.

On the daily reports by the Minister of Health Lizzy, it was reported that the number of recoveries now stand at 3 078 (70 % recovery rate). As of Wednesday, a cumulative total of 4 387 confirmed COVID-19 cases in Eswatini have been recorded.

Regrettably, Nkosi also announced two (2) more COVID-19-related deaths were reported: one (1) from Shiselweni region, and also one from Manzini region.

This brings the total number of COVID-19-related deaths to 88. Worth noting, Manzini region continues to be the epicenter of the pandemic in the country as 1 974 cases have been reported from the region, followed by Hhohho region with 1 744 cases. Shiselweni region and Lubombo regions have recorded 359 and 310 cases respectively.
