Manzini – The Deputy Prime Minister’s Office hosted a Capacity Building Workshop at The George Hotel last week, training 27 participants, including 12 drivers, on safe handling of persons with disabilities.
The programme covered manhandling techniques, professional behaviour, and teamwork skills aimed at protecting the dignity and safety of people with disabilities while improving support systems and reducing injury risks.
The workshop follows the recent introduction of universally designed vehicles, part of government efforts to expand accessible transport across the Kingdom.
Officials also signed an Exchange of Notes and Grant Agreement with the Government of Japan through the Japan International Cooperation Agency.
