Luanda – Eswatini Olympic and Commonwealth Games Association (EOCGA) took part in key continental deliberations after its leadership attended the ANOCA Ordinary General Assembly held on December 16, 2025, in Luanda, Angola, alongside the African Youth Games.
EOCGA was represented by president Adam Mthwethwa and chief executive officer Maxwell Jele, who joined National Olympic Committees from across Africa to review activities carried out in 2025 and map out strategic priorities for the years ahead.
The assembly focused on critical governance and development issues, including reports from ANOCA’s Executive Committee, consideration of the proposed 2026 Action Plan and budget, and updates on the African Youth Games currently underway in Luanda. Delegates also discussed preparations for the Dakar 2026 Youth Olympic Games and athlete development and training programmes for the 2026–2028 cycle.
The meeting reaffirmed ANOCA’s commitment to strengthening sport development structures, improving athlete performance and promoting Olympic values across the continent, with EOCGA expected to remain actively involved in these continental initiatives going forward.
