MBABANE – His Royal Highness Prince Hlangabeza officially opened this year’s Ingwenyama Cup, marking the start of one of Eswatini’s largest cultural and sporting events. The ceremony brought together leaders, sponsors and participants to kick off a season of football and cultural celebration.

Prince Hlangabeza, who chairs the tournament, set the tone for the season, encouraging both players and spectators to maintain discipline and responsibility.

Polycarp Dlamini of the People’s League of Eswatini praised past conduct by teams and the public, urging participants to continue upholding high standards. He also noted the emergence of young praise singers in the cultural segment as a positive sign of continuity.
