Mbabane– Prime Minister Russell Dlamini this morning unveiled the 9th National Emergency Response Council on HIV and AIDS (NERCHA) Council board which officially assumed office on August 25, 2025, and will serve for the next three years.
The council will be chaired by Ntsika Fakudze, who takes over leadership from the outgoing chair, a role previously steered with dedication by Boeing Jefferson. Jefferson, who worked with the former council since 2022, has been reappointed and will now serve her second term.
Other members of the council include: Sifiso Dlamini. Pauline Dlamini, Hani Dlamini. Eric Seyama,Nonhlanhla Nhlabatsi, Dr. Penuel Gina, Khanyisile Dube, Dr. Siphilile Msane, Reverend Zacharia Mthethwa, Zanele Nonhlanhla Dlamini, Dr. Nondumiso Ncube, and Victor Nxumalo
In his address, the Prime Minister urged the new council to support the National Executive Director and the management team in fulfilling NERCHA’s mandate of coordinating the national multisectoral response to the HIV and AIDS pandemic. He highlighted that while Eswatini has achieved the 95-95-95 UN Global Targets, challenges remain.
