Manzini – The Ministry of Education and Training has welcomed delegates and students from neighbouring countries ahead of the COSSASA games, set to begin tomorrow at Somhlolo National Stadium.

Minister of Education and Training, Owen Nxumalo, described the coming week as historic, saying sport serves as a powerful tool for unity, inspiration, and regional integration across Southern Africa. Participants include students from South Africa, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Lesotho, Malawi, and Namibia. Nxumalo referred to them as brothers and sisters, reflecting the spirit of camaraderie the games promote.

Speaking during a welcome dinner at the George Hotel in Manzini, the Minister praised Eswatini’s cultural values, hospitality, and strong sense of community. He also acknowledged the partnership of the Ministry of Sports, Culture and Youth Affairs, alongside the contributions of the COSSASA Executive Committee, the Local Organizing Committee, and government officials in ensuring the successful hosting of the games.
