Amidst a backdrop of groundbreaking ceremonies and project inaugurations, His Majesty King Mswati III of Eswatini has issued a passionate call to safeguard vital business structures that have been instrumental in creating job opportunities and driving economic progress. The King’s resolute plea comes as Eswatini showcases its unwavering commitment to development, unveiling transformative projects such as the Manzini Arch, Matsapha Link, Nthwese Investment site, and Malkerns Square.

Symbolizing grandeur and promise, the E4 billion Manzini Arch stands at the forefront of these endeavors. This impressive structure, consisting of a shopping complex and hotel, serves as a testament to Eswatini’s ambition. The Matsapha Link, valued at E159 million, and Malkerns Square, valued at E149 million, also captivate attention as notable achievements. These visionary projects proudly belong to the esteemed African Alliance Group, renowned for its investment ventures spanning various industries. Additionally, the E2 billion Nthwese Investment project, led by EMI Gate Holdings from the UAE, aims to establish a state-of-the-art shopping mall, along with a bank, school, clinic, and vibrant bazaar at the Old Trade Fair in Manzini.

In his address to the nation, King Mswati III emphasized the paramount importance of cherishing and safeguarding these crucial structures while pledging unwavering support for the businesses that have flourished within them. He highlighted the significant contributions these enterprises have made, not only by creating employment opportunities for Swazi citizens but also by bringing essential services and amenities closer to communities across the nation.

The King’s profound satisfaction stemmed from the realization that these investments hold immense potential to generate employment, particularly for the country’s vibrant youth. He commended Eswatini’s conducive and predictable investment climate, underscoring the dedication and hard work of the nation’s workforce.

Furthermore, King Mswati III hailed the African Alliance projects as integral components of the government’s robust Economic Recovery Plan. Acknowledging the setbacks caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, which disrupted the development plans of numerous businesses, the King drew inspiration from these ambitious projects, foreseeing their significant contributions to Eswatini’s economic advancement.

The King also expressed admiration for the rich history of the African Alliance, which traces its origins back to 1992 when Mr. Tony de Castro established the influential investment bank group. He proudly recognized Eswatini’s role in the company’s growth, as it served as the launching pad for its operations before expanding across Africa, with a presence in over 20 countries, including Botswana, Lesotho, Kenya, and Uganda.

Notable among the esteemed investors present was EMI Gate, a prominent company from the United Arab Emirates, which recognized Eswatini as an ideal investment destination. King Mswati III expressed deep appreciation for their contribution, underscoring the pivotal role these projects would play in creating much-needed employment opportunities.

Under the visionary leadership of King Mswati III, Eswatini is poised to embrace a future marked by prosperity and sustainable development. As the nation rallies behind the call to safeguard these vital business structures, Eswatini’s growth trajectory is set to accelerate, further empowering its citizens and propelling the economy to new heights.
