Mbabane: Vovovo FC Boss Sipho “Tsetla” Bhembe said he remained convinced that the deadly coronavirus is God ordained and will only settle down at His will. He said it was worrying that in the whole Covid-19 juggernaut government said less of God and yet it is stated clearly in the Bible in the Book of Isaiah 26 verse 20 that, “Go, my people, enter your rooms and shut the doors behind you; hide yourselves for a little while until his wrath has passed by.”(NIV).
The football administrator put a lot of emphasis on God’s wrath saying the Lord is put off by what is happening in the world and He calls for repentance. Tsetla did not say exactly what the Heavens are not happy about but mentioned that there was a lot that was glaringly off line, and the Lord sought to clean up. He added that such situations as Covid-19 should be taken as a warning of the end times and time was at hand for people to put their houses in order. “Anything can happen from now and if one’s house is in a mess then there’d be regret,” said the sombre looking businessman.
Bhembe said Eswatini is a Christian country that upholds Christian values and should be seen to be ascribing the situation to none but the Lord.
He himself is observing what the government and the Bible says and stays in doors with his family.
…fondly remembers Victor Gamedze
On another note Bhembe said he fondly recalls the times of astute football administrator Victor Gamedze whom he referred to as someone whose like may never be seen again. Had he been still alive the standard of football in the country would have risen to great heights such as had never been seen, said Bhembe. He mostly valued Gamedze’s philanthropic initiatives where the latter gave off not only his time but practical resources to the football fraternity. “Gamedze went to extent of helping even his rivals in terms of money and other,” said Bhembe.
