Mbabane: The Kingdom of Eswatini is set to receive first batch of the AstraZeneca vaccine today (Wednesday) afternoon.
Information gathered was to the effect that the Minister of Health Lizzie Nkosi was going to receive the consignments at King Mswati III International Airport. It was gathered that the vaccine doses will hit the soil of this land at or around 2pm.
A senior official in the ministry of health who cannot be disclosed confirmed the news, saying indeed the country was expecting to receive the vaccine doses. The official who could not give much details told this reporter to contact the Minister who was on her way to the airport.
When sought for comment, the Minister of Health Lizzie Nkosi confirmed the news saying it is still en route.
