Mbabane: Eswatini rapper and producer SummerSon album titled ‘Summer from the Cross’ is now available on digital music stores.
SummerSon’s real name Iyvn Mndzebele, speaking to the entertainment desk said due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the album will be accessible on all digital stores, and links are also available on SummerSon Facebook Page. The rapper also disclosed that the album consists of eight songs, all new tracks.
Just a few months back, SummerSon released a single titled “Moya”. The single was made available through digital retailers. It is also available on Audiomack at SummerSon Eswatini” and “Summerson Mndzebele” on Soundcloud.
SummerSon said with his latest album he was grateful to Sleek Ace, Maye Zhane for mixing and mastering the song. He said in the album, he featured a number of artists which include Simiso Simelane and Sleek Ace.
However, he said a number of producers worked on the project. “It really wasn’t a one man’s show,” he said. “These include Sleek Ace, Maye Nzhane, and Dii Bongz. Pictures were handled by PSIMAGING and the artwork was designed by King Froggz”.
According to SummerSon, a music video will also be released in March and the title of the song that will have a video is ‘S’phambanweni’ and will be produced by SummerSon. However all details will be released on his Facebook page SummerSon
On February 18, SummerSon was hosted by the KrTC of hip hop on DTTV at represent S3E4, where he was a Guest and he performed some of the songs in the new project.
