Worth noting is that the Kingdom of Eswatini in 2020 was named by lonely planet as amongst the top ten countries to visit in Africa. These rankings put the country in the best position and destination of choice for tourists. Despite the devastation effects of COVID-19 which affected the whole world Eswatini was amongst the first countries in Africa to use health guidelines approved by the world tourism organization (WTO).

Contrary to what the outside world thinks of Africa, the whole continent has been named the one of the safest places based on the global peace index.

Reached for comments, Eswatini Tourism Authority Head of Marketing Siboniso Madlopha said, this put the country in a much better position as a tourist choice for the next destination. He said most overseas tourists prioritize safety and if Eswatini is positioned correctly in this regard then we stand a chance to recover from the devastating COVID-19 challenges.
