Mbabane: Under-20 head coach Velekhaya Mthethwa is positive that the Under-20 men’s team will perform better in relation to past tournaments.

Mthethwa was speaking during the team’ farewell event at the EFA Technical Center in Lobamba on November 30, after which team departed to Port Elizabeth, South Africa, which is the host country for this year’s edition of the tournament. The head coach mentioned that they had prepared well for the competition and would face any team that would come their way.

“We have prepared well as a team and I am confident that the players do know what is at stake during the competition,” said Mthethwa, adding that it is up to the team to show the nation what they are capable of doing. He said they would do their best to represent the country during the tournament.

Leading the delegation is EFA’s executive member, Thulani Mavuso while the technical bench consists of the head coach and his assistant, Sindiso Gama, Njabulo Simelane (goalkeeper coach), Samkeliso Mdluli (team doctor), Sipho Dlamini (fitness coach), Sipho Mwali (Covid-19 Compliance Officer) and Vusi Hall (team manager).
