Mbabane: As the domestic tourism campaign gains momentum, Eswatini Tourism Authority and industry players have vowed to make it easy for every liSwati to be able to travel within the Kingdom by providing discounts of up to 50 per cent.

This is part of the domestic tourism campaign dubbed “A Wonder Awaits You, Explore It” which is aimed at making emaSwati to explore their beautiful Kingdom.

Head of Marketing at Eswatini Tourism Authority, Siboniso Madlopha has disclosed that now it was very easy for local travelers to find exactly what they need, as Eswatini Tourism Authority’s (ETA) website have been adopted to list available special deals under the ‘A Wonder Awaits/Ingcayizivele Ikulindzile’ domestic tourism campaign.

ETA’s website, www.thekingdomofeswatini.com, under the new ‘Special Offers’ tab, is now packed with great special offers from local hotels, lodges, restaurants and activity operators. Travelers can also easy book by contacting the individual listed companies, as their contact details are also available on the site.

Madlopha further assured travelers that the industry is still offering significant discounts, up to 50% per cent, as earlier declared during the launch of the campaign.

“It is an exciting development because we now have a one-stop shop wherein travelers can easily browse and find exactly what they are looking for,” he said.

Considering the quantity and diversity of industry players participating in this campaign, Madlopha said everyone should expect to find the best travel deals from adventure, to wildlife experiences and accommodation.

“These packages are designed to give Emaswati access to travel, in a bigger, much better way, by addressing the issue of affordability. Every LiSwati deserves to travel,” he said.

Madlopha said Eswatini’s tourism has so much to offer; we have national parks that are chock full of wildlife, gorgeous landscapes, hidden gems, historic sites, scenic picnic spots, you can head out on hikes and saddle up for some horse riding.

He said there is no better time than now for Emaswati to explore their own country. ‘When you actually do go out and see it-you would start to see how beautiful and unique it is,”

Madlopha also welcomed government’s direction as Eswatini opened its international borders on October 1.

“While our borders will not open to all countries for leisure travel, we are delighted to welcome those visitors that will be able to come to our country. We remain optimistic and encouraged by the gradual phased opening of the sector and we will continue to keep our fingers on the pulse of things,” he said.

Eswatini has put in place globally benchmarked tourism industry health and safety protocols to safeguard travelers’ health and safety. As a result, the country was awarded with the Safe Travels stamp of approval by World Travel and Tourism Council (WTTC).
