Luve – Police have launched an attempted murder investigation after a 20-year-old woman was allegedly attacked by two unidentified men who mutilated her private parts and cut off part of her right buttock in Luve.
According to the Royal Eswatini Police Service (REPS), the incident occurred on October 26 at around 8pm as the woman was walking home from work.
The two men allegedly approached her and questioned where she was going at that time of the night before dragging her into nearby vegetation.
Police reported that one suspect allegedly strangled the woman while the other restrained her, causing her to lose consciousness. The suspects then allegedly cut off her private parts and a portion of her right buttock before leaving her at the scene.
The woman later regained consciousness and crawled to a nearby car wash, where she shouted for help.
She was subsequently taken to hospital, where she is receiving medical treatment.
Police said investigations into the attempted murder were ongoing as officers work to establish the circumstances surrounding the attack and identify the suspects.
