MBABANE – Rising female artist Luyanda Sbuso Myeni, popularly known as Bubuh De Vocalist, is turning pain into powerful melodies with the release of her latest single, Angisakhoni, a deeply personal song about heartbreak, emotional exhaustion and reaching one’s breaking point.
The young musician has released the single alongside a captivating visualizer, giving listeners a visual experience that complements the emotions behind the song.
More than just a new addition to her growing catalogue, Angisakhoni tells the story of someone who has endured hurt for too long, feels unloved and unappreciated, and has finally reached their limits.
For Bubuh, the song carries a message that many listeners may find relatable: nobody deserves to remain in a situation where they feel unwanted or undervalued.
The emerging vocalist said the song reflects the pain of being hurt repeatedly until one can no longer bear it.
Her ability to transform such emotions into music reflects her determination to use her talent to tell stories that resonate with people.
Bubuh’s journey in music has been shaped by her passion for singing and her belief in her abilities.
She revealed that she writes her own lyrics, with King Kanga responsible for mixing and mastering her songs. This creative involvement allows her to express her experiences and emotions through her own words.
For the young artist, singing has grown beyond a hobby and become an important part of her life and future ambitions.
She credits South African singer Amanda Black as one of the artists who inspired her to keep pursuing music and never lose hope.
In 2024, Bubuh released Ungowami, a single produced by King Kanga that received positive feedback from listeners. The compliments encouraged her to continue working towards her musical dreams.
She has since continued developing her sound and collaborating with other artists, including King Bazozo, who featured on her song Wena.
She also worked with Cool G on Ngifuna Wena, which featured Blxck, a collaboration she says touched many souls.
Her music has also featured established names such as Dmxo Mxo Swaziland, helping her gain exposure as she continues carving out her place in the industry.
While Bubuh is celebrating the release of Angisakhoni, she has her eyes firmly set on bigger opportunities.
The singer hopes to collaborate with South African artist Atchaar, as well as Apex The Vocalist and Cool Drop.
One of her biggest ambitions, however, is to perform on Upscale Live, a platform she has openly shown interest in through her TikTok posts, where she has been tagging the platform.
Bubuh remains hopeful that her dream of joining the platform will one day become a reality.
Her ambitions reflect a young musician who is not only focused on releasing music but is also actively seeking opportunities to grow her audience, connect with other creatives and take her talent beyond familiar spaces.
She promised that Angisakhoni is only the beginning, with more music, exciting releases and collaborations expected in the future.
Beyond her own journey, Bubuh has an encouraging message for aspiring musicians who may be struggling to believe in their abilities.
She believes that success begins with self-belief and the determination to keep going, even when the journey becomes difficult.
“You can achieve your goals when you want to. It’s in you, not in anyone. Believe in yourself. Yes, you can, and you will go places,” she said.
With Angisakhoni, Bubuh De Vocalist continues to turn personal experiences into music while pursuing a dream she says she is not prepared to abandon.
