MBABANE- Sakha Live FM has appointed veteran broadcaster and media executive Wilson B. Nkosi as Chairman of its newly constituted Board of Directors, effective October 1, 2026, marking a major step forward for the country’s newest licensed Free-to-Air commercial radio station.
The appointment comes as Sakha Live FM transitions from the licensing phase into corporate governance, operational readiness and commercial development as it prepares to establish its presence in Eswatini’s broadcasting landscape.
Nkosi brings more than four decades of broadcasting and media experience to the station. He was part of the pioneering team of broadcasters at Radio Metro when it launched in 1986, before founding Wilson B. Nkosi Communications in 1995. Over the years, he has worked with leading advertising and communications agencies across Africa.
His contribution to broadcasting has earned him several industry honours, including a Metro FM Music Awards Long Service Award and a GQ Lifetime Achievement Award.
Having grown up and attended school in Eswatini, Nkosi’s appointment also brings a strong connection to the local market. His broadcasting heritage, commercial media experience and creative leadership are expected to contribute to the development of Sakha Live FM’s identity, audience and commercial strategy.

He added that the station’s immediate priority would be establishing a strong corporate governance foundation focused on accountability, sustainability and long-term success.
Joining Nkosi on the Board are Her Royal Highness Princess Sakhizwe Dlamini, leader of the Imbali Regiment and a member of the Royal Commission; Tom Lin, founder and CEO of Destiny Group; attorney Mlibatisi Sibusiso Kunene; and accounting and tax professional Zanele Nyawo.
The board collectively brings expertise in culture, leadership, entrepreneurship, technology, legal affairs, finance, taxation, compliance and governance.
Sakha Live FM, operated by Sakha Live Media Group, is being developed as a modern, youth-focused commercial radio platform aimed at entertaining, informing and educating audiences while connecting them with real opportunities.
