Mbabane: Former Minister of Health and Shiselweni II Member of Parliament Benedict Xaba is now the new clerk to the Parliament after the redeployment of Ndvuna Dlamini.
Speaker to the House of Assembly Petros Mavimbela confirmed the news of Xaba being the new Clerk to the Parliament. It has been gathered that Xaba will assume office with immediate effect.
Meanwhile Ndvuna Dlamini was removed from being the clerk to the Parliament and was redeployed to the Ministry of Agriculture where he will be the Under Secretary in that Ministry.
Xaba was the Minister of Health and the Member of Parliament during the 9th Parliament. He also ran for elections in 2013 where he lost to little known Mthokozisi Kunene who did not come back in the 2018 elections, allowing Strydom Mpanza to go through.
Currently Xaba is also the Chairman of the Board of Directors at Eswatini Water Service Corporation (ESWC).
