MALKERNS – Eswatini is set to host one of Southern Africa’s fastest-growing food and lifestyle events after organisers officially announced that the Kota Festival Tour will make its debut in the Kingdom later this year.
Scheduled for October 24, 2026, at Malkerns Country Club, the inaugural Eswatini Kota Festival promises to deliver a vibrant celebration of food, music, culture and entrepreneurship while creating opportunities for local businesses and boosting regional tourism.
Organisers described the event as more than just a food festival, saying it is a platform dedicated to empowering communities through business development initiatives and social impact programmes.
“The Kota Festival is more than just a festival , it’s a movement,” organisers said in the announcement.
They explained that the festival will feature business workshops aimed at empowering small businesses, creating economic opportunities and supporting community development initiatives, including programmes that benefit underprivileged communities and persons with disabilities.
The Kota Festival has built a strong reputation in South Africa, where it tours different provinces celebrating local culture, supporting entrepreneurs and encouraging domestic tourism. Its expansion into Eswatini marks a significant milestone as the festival extends its footprint beyond South Africa for the first time.
Organisers believe the event will not only provide an exciting experience for local festivalgoers but will also attract visitors from across South Africa, strengthening regional tourism and showcasing Eswatini as a premier destination for food, culture, music and entertainment.
“We are grateful for the support and collaboration that has helped make this event possible, and we look forward to delivering an unforgettable experience for the people of Eswatini,” organisers said.
Festivalgoers can expect a full day of entertainment, delicious kota creations, cultural experiences and networking opportunities, with the official entertainment line-up set to be unveiled on Monday.
