Mbabane– More than 400 exhibitors have registered to participate in this year’s Eswatini International Trade Fair (EITF).
In a Press Statement, the Eswatini Investment Promotion Authority (EIPA), which hosts the annual event under the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Trade, said the high number of applications reflects continued interest from businesses seeking to showcase their products and services at one of Eswatini’s largest commercial exhibitions.
Although exhibitor registration has surpassed the 400 mark, EIPA has extended applications to 10 July to accommodate prospective participants who were unable to meet the initial deadline. The extension also leaves room for businesses in the Shisa Nyama, Fruit and Candy, and Children’s Entertainment categories, where applications remain open.
EITF spokesperson Siphesihle Nkhabindze said preparations had now entered a critical phase, with organizers focusing on confirming exhibitors and finalising stand allocations.
“July is a decisive month for everyone intending to exhibit at EITF 2026. We encourage businesses to make use of the remaining days. Once applications have been approved, exhibitors should ensure that stand payments are made and proof of payment uploaded by 25 July to confirm participation,” she said.
She said adherence to the timelines would enable organizers to complete logistical planning ahead of the exhibition, which is scheduled to run from 28 August to 6 September.
Held under the theme “Unlocking Green Economy Opportunities for Sustainable Trade Promotion,” this year’s fair is expected to provide a platform for businesses to showcase innovation, promote investment opportunities and explore new markets.
Nkhabindze said the exhibition continues to serve as an important marketplace for enterprises looking to expand their customer base, strengthen commercial partnerships and increase brand visibility. To encourage broader participation, EIPA has maintained exhibition rates at last year’s levels, a move expected to benefit Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), while government ministries, public enterprises, development partners and international exhibitors are also expected to participate.
The 58th edition of the EITF is projected to attract more than 72,000 visitors, reinforcing its position as one of the country’s largest business and investment platforms.
